Fish Oil vs Algae Oil: Market Trends & Health Benefits

EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) are long-chain omega-3 fatty acids sourced from various vegetable and animal sources.

– The global EPA and DHA market is projected to reach USD 2,372.90 million by 2027, registering a CAGR of 6.76% during the forecast period (2022-2027).

– The DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) segment is driven by the rising demand and its incorporation in infant formulae and nutritional products targeting children’s health. – Algae omega ingredients play a key role in driving the overall market growth due to the growing demand for algae omega in infant food fortification, as they provide benefits similar to that of fish oil but have no off-odour or taste. – Omega ingredients obtained from algae are considered more bioavailable and sustainable for production.
